About DeepLeaf
DeepLeaf is a Moroccan agritech company building agentic AI for agriculture. Our models see a crop and reason like an agronomist, helping farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural partners make timely, practical decisions across many crops, conditions, and languages. Learn more about what we build on the DeepLeaf Agronomist and Data Hub pages.
About the role
We're hiring a Full-Stack & AI Engineering Intern to help build our product end to end — from the APIs and data services that power our models to the web apps our users touch, and the agentic AI workflows that tie it all together. You'll ship real features that reach real users, with mentorship and genuine ownership from day one.
What you'll do
- Backend. Design and build APIs and services in Python with FastAPI — clean, well-tested, well-documented endpoints.
- Frontend. Build responsive, accessible interfaces in Next.js (React + TypeScript).
- Agentic AI. Design and wire up agent workflows with LangGraph and other modern AI agent tools and libraries — tool use, retrieval, orchestration, and evaluation.
- Ship it. Containerize and run services with Docker / Docker Compose, and deploy to the cloud (Azure or AWS).
- Own quality. Write tests, add logging, debug across the stack, and help keep the codebase clean and maintainable.
Who we're looking for
We care about attitude, curiosity, and the ability to learn fast. You should have real, hands-on experience (through projects, internships, or serious personal work) with most of the following — and eagerness to learn the rest quickly:
- FastAPI (Python) for backend services.
- Next.js (React / TypeScript) for the frontend.
- Docker & Docker Compose for local dev and deployment.
- A cloud platform — Azure or AWS.
- LangGraph and other AI agentic tools and libraries (agents, tool-calling, RAG, orchestration).
- Comfortable with Git, APIs, and reading/writing clear technical documentation.
Bonus: exposure to databases (PostgreSQL), CI/CD, vector stores, or LLM evaluation.
Eligibility
Aimed at students and recent graduates. You should be currently enrolled in a university programme (bachelor's or graduate), in your final undergraduate year, or a recent graduate (within about a year).
Languages
- English — required (our codebase, docs, and much of our collaboration are in English).
- French and Arabic/Darija are a plus.
Location & logistics
- Full-time internship, 6–9 months, in person at the DeepLeaf office in Sidi Bennour, Morocco.
- You're expected to relocate to Sidi Bennour for the internship; living costs there are low.
- Paid internship — a monthly stipend, all-inclusive, intended to cover your stay (accommodation) and local travel.
Good to know
- Confidentiality and responsible data: you'll handle company, partner, and farmer information with care, consent, and confidentiality.
- Equal opportunity: we welcome applicants of all backgrounds and strongly encourage women and applicants from under-represented groups to apply.
What you'll gain
Real production experience across the full stack and modern agentic AI, mentorship from a focused engineering team, and a strong reference and network for your next step.
