Food security
Climate hits food security and food safety first in agriculture. That is where DeepLeaf starts—and from there reaches land, water, soil and carbon.
Mission
We turn validated agricultural and climate knowledge into decisions governments, organisations and farmers can act on, in their own language, at the moment they need them. Advice is local, cited and trustworthy because it sits on procedures owned by the research bodies that produced them.
Delivery is B2B, B2G and through philanthropic programmes: organisations sign up rather than individual farmers.
Adaptation
Early warnings for weather and climate shocks; water and irrigation management; resilient crop and variety choices; outbreaks driven by climate; yield forecasts for food-security planning.
Mitigation
Soil organic carbon measurement; precise fertiliser and input use; cutting crop loss and food waste; data for reporting and verification for carbon and climate finance.
Regions
Live across more than 20+ countries in Africa, Middle East, Europe, South America. Dialect and local-language support matters most where extension is thin and climate risk is high.
Methodology
Every impact figure is measured with a partner, against a counterfactual group, for a named region, crop and season, with the sample size. We publish the method with the number, or not at all.
- Yield
- Change in yield per hectare against the comparison group.
- Input cost
- Spend on products and fuel per hectare.
- Water
- Water applied per hectare where irrigation is used.
- Safe residues
- Share of sprays within the registered product and pre-harvest interval.
- Climate resilience
- Share of frost, heat and storm alerts acted on in time.
